Inspire Indigenous Action

Inspiring Indigenous Action

We began our work during the 2018 Midterm Election to counteract the harmful effect of the voter identification law. A law that required all voters to have a physical address on their ID card to vote. The lad had the ability to disenfranchise over 5,000 Native American voters.

Since 2018, we’ve worked toward our mission of creating a representative democracy, so Native voices are included in the decision-making process. We build on the successes of our ancestors, to equip community members with the tools to address local community needs, and to enhance political and personal power.

OUR WORK

EDUCATION AND OUTREACH

We believe in creating a mirror in the work that we do. Our program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each community. Our education is delivered through local on the ground organizers, media campaigns, and peer-to-peer contact.

ADVOCACY

We advocate for equality, environmental protections to ensure healthy communities, economic justice, fair voting practices, protecting tribal sovereignty and Native American rights. We ensure the Native voice is part of public policy, from creation to implementation. We work for a world protected for future generations.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

Our program includes voter mobilization, Get Out The Vote (GOTV) activities, training on public narrative, and mobilizing individuals to take action on issues important to them. We work to increase voter turnout, and engagement with elected decision makers.
