North Dakota Native Vote works to engage tribal members in constructing a representative democracy by working in reservation communities and urban areas to create and affect policy and equal representation for the Native people of North Dakota.

Job Purpose

North Dakota Native Vote (NDNV) Field Organizer is responsible for implementing field campaigns and strategies. The Field Organizer works closely with the NDNV Field Director to coordinate community outreach and field operations. The Field Organizer position does not require any supervisory duties. The Field Organizer must adhere to the NDNV Personnel Policies and Procedures.

The Field Organizers from each tribe will work remotely on each reservation in North Dakota. The duration of the job will begin on August 1, 2022 and will end on November 18, 2022. The hourly pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The part-time work is classified as 20 – 30 hours per week. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Lead community outreach events
  •  Implement field strategies as assigned
  • Creating weekly work plan for field operations
  •  Assisting with communication deliverables
  • Collect pledge to vote data and database input
  • Write weekly field reports
  • Attending regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned 

Preferred Qualifications

  • No experience necessary
  • Ability to interact effectively with the public
  • Available for travel regularly and for extended period
  • Ability to work productively both independently and with a team
  • Available for contact by smartphone and email
  • Ability to work with Native American communities in North Dakota
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Effective time management skills and prioritization
